Using controllers for cabal?

I know someone might have already posted something along these lines but I couldn't find much about it.

Now what I'm trying to do is use my ps2 controller which I have hooked up to my copmputer using a xbox/ps2/gamecube adapter to play Cabal. What I do is I use (I've posted a program which is banned) (a free program that "simulates keypresses and mouse movements using a gamepad") to set up my controller to use it for Cabal, but whenever Im running Cabal for some reason it seems to stop working. Im gonna assume its because of the "anti cheat system" for Cabal thats blocking me to use my ps2 controller on Cabal

If you want to know what adapter I use I bought it at Walmart but I the same one I bought is also found on amazon here:

The adapter comes with one xbox/gamecube/ps2 controller ports and two usb ports, and connects to the computer via usb.

I have the controller configured the way I want using (I've posted a program which is banned) and it works but not for Cabal.
